Description:
  • Enfield Jim Lewis Custom Model 1917 Caliber 458 WM Bolt Action Rifle
  • Caliber: 458 WM
  • Barrel: 24"
  • Note: Jim Lewis was a well known Coeur d' Alene Idaho and Butte Montana custom gun smith. This is one of Jim's last 4 guns that he was in the process of building prior to his passing. Basically, this gun just needs finishing. And by that, here's what is provided: the 1917 Enfield action with modified bolt handle and safety, double square bridge, 458 WM caliber barrel. Fitted, installed, and head spaced. The barrel has been fitted with a ramp front sight with interchangable front blade and barrel mounted sling swivel stud. The English walnut stock has been fitted with Jim Lewis' signature, ebony, "widow's peak" forend cap as well as a shadowline English style cheek piece. It has also been fitted with a Pachmayr, black, Old English pad. LOP is 13 7/8". The trigger guard, floor plate, and grip cap are all steel and a quick detachable sling swivel mount has been fitted and inletted to the buttstock. Likewise, the action has been fully inletted and bedded into the stock and fitted with a custom trigger. This is a tremoundous deal for someone who doesn't finishing the stock and bluing the metal (basically all that remains to be done as we see it)!
