A collector grade custom Model 70 by one of America's finest gun/stock makers, Serial # 476044. Leonard Brownell. This rifle was made for gun/hunting author Robert Chatfield-Taylor in 1960. 270 WCF on a 22" barrel. Highly figured English walnut stock. Beautiful scroll engraving on trigger guard, pistol grip cap and floorplate. Five panel checkered bolt knob with custom checkered trap door buttplate by A.B. White. Jeweled bolt and extractor. Custom quick release scope mounts with integral flip-up peep sight. Ebony forend tip. G&H style hooded front sight.
