Like many carbines that were saddle guns and having had a LOT of use, the barrel markings are a little light, yet fully readable. The “Rampant Colt” logo on the frame side, however, is worn completely away. The weakest point on this little “Lightning Carbine” is the buttstock which is an old period done replacement and just a so-so job. Considering how hard it is to find a Lightning carbine, especially one with a very decent bore, it is well worth collecting it as it is while looking for a better fitting butt. About VG as described. $2295 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Antique: Yes |
