#0844 Ames Model 1860 Naval Cutlass with sheath and frog, dated 1862. Fine blade with strong markings and only minor staining and spottiness, no pitting, no sharpening, and no little kids having played “Pirates and Buccaneers” over its 150+ year life. The brass cup guard has minor denting and patina, also has unit markings and rack numbers. The scabbard is in near excellent condition, as is the belt frog. Overall, a fine blade and one that is now getting hard to find. $1075
