These older Model 77 Rugers with the tang mounted safety are becoming more and more desirable, especially the 1976 models that are marked "Made in the 200th Year of American Liberty". This rifle is in excellent shape overall and is in one of the most sought after calibers in .220 Swift. The .220 Swift is one of the iconic American varmint calibers and for many years was the fastest standard cartridge you could buy. The high gloss factory blue finish is in excellent condition and rates a solid 98%. The bore is mirror bright with sharp, clean rifling. The American Walnut stock is also in excellent shape with only some small handling marks visible. The worst of these are very minor and just forward of the magazine floorplate. The stock is fitted with factory sling swivel studs, a factory Ruger logo pistol grip cap, and a factory installed red Ruger branded butt pad. See the pictures to see how beautiful this rifle package is. This Model 77 is scoped with a equally nice Leupold 20X scope with adjustable objective lens and an extended sunshade. This Leupold has the taller "target style" turrets for easy and fast windage and elevation adjustment. The reticle is a fine crosshairs with a dot style, perfect for long range precision shooting. It would be nearly impossible to find a better example of this excellent varmint rifle, especially one of the 1976 Bicentennial made Ruger Model 77s.
