Payment Types Accepted: Mastercard, Visa Description: We are offering for sale very rare Peabody-Martini CREEDMOOR single shot, long range rifle that has been modified to take .22 caliber ammunition. This is for RECEIVER AND SHOULDER STOCK ONLY. No barrel or fore-end included. Made by the Providence Tool Co., circa 1875-1880. These rifles were produced in a small quantity and used an obscure 44-60 “Creedmoor” round produced by Winchester. Condition is good overall. Receiver is very nice, lacking original case colors. Markings are strong and crisp. Lever action works flawlessly and drops the bolt in order to load a round into the chamber. Trigger function works properly with original firing pin intact and working well. Shoulder stock is very good with No breaks or cracks. Original butt plate is very good as well. Gun has has had the inner frame sidewall relieved to take ,22 ammunition. The bolt has been remachined to a 3 piece bolt.
