Savage 99 F. Saddle Ring Carbine. 30-30 caliber. 1917 mfg. 20 inch carbine barrel with 95% original bright blue remaining. Reciever shows a little wear on top right of reciever ring. Two small holes drilled and tapped on each side of reciever ring, and also on breech end of barrel,for old style "collar" scope base. Mechanically perfect. Bore,bolt,follower, lever all in perfect condition with strong traces of original colors remaining. Top of bolt on this early model has a "cocked-loaded"indicator. See photo. Small rectangular bar protrudes from top of bolt when cocked and or loaded. Wood is solid and originalwith 85-90% original varnish remaining.
