Description:
This is a Colt Lightning rifle in .32-20. The serial number dates to 1890. The action shows Good patina with some pitting as does the 26 inch octagon barrel and full length magazine tube. The bore of this rifle has strong rifling and only light pitting in places. The checkered walnut pump grip is in Good condition with no cracks or chips. The straight grip butt stock looks to have split into 2 pieces and then been repaired. There are long cracks on the left side from the top and bottom tangs that join up about an inch from the crescent steel butt plate with evidence of two screws being used for repair.
