JOHNSON 1836 FLINTLOCK PISTOL 15-131
Model 1836 Flintlock Pistol by Robert Johnson made for the US Government.
Has iron mountings, back strap, butt cap, etc. Marked U.S. R. Johnson Middnconn dated 1843 on lock barrel has standard proof US Government markings BBL. This flintlock is in original condition with the lock, the barrel, trigger guard, back strap and butt cap with some salt & pepper corrosion. The markings on the lock are readable but there is some salt & pepper corrosion on the lock. Wood is good, with some dents, dings, age and stress cracks on the left etc. Stock is not missing any wood. Overall good/nice representive piece. See Flaydermen 6A-30-034 page 331 ninth edition.
