ARGENTINE MODEL 1891 MAUSER ALLOY BAYONET & SCABBARD. Post 1893 lightweight version with aluminum grip panels. Serial number matches steel scabbard although partially ground off as typical with some of the US imports as they came in during the '50's and 60's. Weyersburg three line address on ricasso and "Modelo Argentino 1891" opposite. "RA" for Republica Argentino on guard, pommel and tip of drag. Also "R" and circle/W and P/star stamped elsewhere. Original black /blue finish on scabbard. Excellent condition scabbard. Beautiful blade with typical German craftsmanship and original polish marks so never altered. Tight scabbard spring.
