NEAR-MINT U.S. REMINGTON MODEL 1917 BAYONET AND SCABBARD FOR EDDYSTONE or WINCHESTER. 22½ inches overall. Earlier oil hole version. Retains virtually of the original half tone blue finish(factory dip procedure correct) with rest of blade the correct dull bead blasted finish(parkerizing). Scabbard near mint with "G.K."(Grafton & Knight) and "J.L.R" initials and mint stitching under green paint. Standard Remington markings at the ricasso and dated “1917”. The obverse stamped “ordnance bomb/US”. Mint original wood panels with unturned screws with ALL the original blue. A prime example for any Mint 1917 rifle or Trench gun.
