CONFEDERATE USED SAVAGE U.S. 1861 RIFLE MUSKET DATED 1863. Standard issue .58 caliber Savage Contract rifle musket originally found in Blackburn, Virginia. Heavily used and missing the rod, rear sight and center band. Stock with old wrist repair and lots of carving including a “CROSS” opposite the lock and the initials “W.J.F.” as well as other single initials on the left side of the butt. Well used but nice old patina. Absolutely genuine in every respect.
