Description:
Remington 44 percussion revolver. Complete and functioning perfectly. Good smooth plumb patina throughout frame and cylinder. Barrel and ramrod mostly plumb-brown,but, retain strong traces of original bright blue. Strong cartouche on original grips. Three odd shallow holes on reciever ring,each side, probably an old gunsmith fix for loose barrels. Holster is in very good to excellent condition, especially considering its age, marked Newark, N.J.. Sharp rifling in bore. Light initials scratched into right side grip panel.
