Walther G-41 Sniper (ac 43 Stacked) Cal Ser. 27
This is an extremely rare Walther G-41. It is fitted with a sniper mount. Add to that, serial number 27, notice there is NO block letter in the serial number.
The condition is really great, retaining about 90% of the original factory finish. The major loss, other than the usual sharp edge silvering, is limited to a slight toning/ patina on the bottom of the magazine and barrel bands.
Every part that is supposed to be numbered is indeed numbered 27. Every part that is supposed stamped, is stamped, starting at the force cone and front sight all the way back to the trigger guard and butt stock.
The receiver is stamped 27, Eagle/Swastika and Eagle/359. The wood stock still has at least 90% of the original factory finish. The right side has several small areas of loss that indicate a solvent may have come in contact with it.
There are no splits or chips anywhere. However there are several small surface dings, all of little matter. On the right side of the butt, there are two easily seen Eagle/359 stamps.
The bore is really surprisingly good. It is quite bright with very sharp rifling. There are some small areas of light frosting. Considering that the G-41s were used primarily on the East front, this one is outstanding. And remember serial number 27 AND a sniper rail.
One expert consulted said that he, “wouldn't be surprised if this gun was a factory kept production sample.”
Certainly a collection centerpiece and head turner at the range... $7250.
