Description:
Sword is in exceptional condition. Blade signed Raymond & Whitlock. Raymond & Whitlock were sword cutlers in New York City, circa 1870-1875. The blade has patriotic etchings on both sides, with an eagle and a large "US". The finely detailed brass hilt retains its original gold gilding, and the handle is near perfect, with the original wire wrap with original scabbard. The sword measures 35" without scabbard.
