C. Sharps, Philada PA, Pepperbox Derringer .22 Short. 1A First Model. 2 1/2" 4 shot barrels. Patent Date: 1859. These little pistols were favored by gamblers, saloon ladies and cowboys of the old west. They were manufactured from 1859 to 1874, this one having serial number 13948. This cute little bugger was refinished some years ago and still retains about 99% of the refinish blue and nickel plate, however the bores, all four of them, have lots of corrosion and pitting, unfortunately.
