Description:
Colt 1851 Navy 4th Model, .36 caliber percussion revolver serial number 203,XXX, manufactured 1867 with 7 ½”bbl., 6 shot cylinder with capping groove cutout in recoil shield. Markings are correct with all matching numbers except for wedge. This Colt has seen quite a bit of use. Metal carries a dark gray patina throughout, walnut grips show use with a few dents & dings. Barrel wedge has been replaced as well as loading lever screw, the top right side of the backstrap has a small crack & the cylinder has 2 nipples broken off. Action works with good timing & bore has strong rifling with some pitting.
