Single Shot Sporting Rifle made by W.H. Monks. Hinged frame tip-open action. 38 caliber center fire [38-200,or 38 S&W] Full cradle extractor [see photo] fixed firing pin on hammer. Light weight "Rook" type rifle,yet full dimensions.14 1/2 " LOP. 24" full octagon barrell. Very good to excellent overall condition. Frame retains30-45% original case colors on each side,especially under opening lever. Beautiful English walnut stocks with cut checkering in a point pattern. Tasteful English scroll pattern engraving appx. 35% on each side of frame and trigger guard,hammer, lever and top tang.Small two-leaf flip sight on rear of barrell, tiny blade at muzzle,both original. Fair bore. Steel buttplate and grip cap.
