Description:
The Weatherby rifles made by J.P. Sauer in Germany were only made between 1959 and 1973 and are considered the finest of the early Weatherbys. The .300 Weatherby Magnum cartridge is one of the fastest shooting .30 cal. cartridges ever made and is a favorite with many big game hunters. The condition of this rifle near excellent. The blue is 99%, with a few very small rust spots primarily on the outside of the barrel, and the wood stock has only a few small scratches on the right side opposite the bolt, possibly from being carried against a belt buckle. It is complete with a vintage Weatherby 4x81 Imperial scope. Left handed Sauer manufactured Weatherby rifles do not turn up very often, especially in this desirable caliber.
