Description:
This Savage 1895 is in excellent condotion. Has a 26" round barrel with an excellent bore. Action is smooth and it locks up tight. Original "Rocky Mountain", front and rear sights.The metal retains is "Fire" Blue" finish of approx. 95%+. Lots of case color remains on lever and buttplate. Serial number is #4378 and is found on the bottom of the reciever, buttstock, buttplate, forearm and barrel. Also has the "JM" in oval Marlin Mark. Appears this was sent back to factory in 1920 for unknown work. Wood still has lots of original varnish. Does show some light handling marks. and well done small wood repairs.
