Maynard Custom Model 1873 25-20 SS Breechloader
This custom Maynard was built using an 1873 Maynard No. 9. The barrel was relined to 25-20 SS. Also an appropriate extractor and correct diameter firing pin were installed. The rifle was restocked in very nice quarter sawed English walnut with a best-gun oil finish. The stock was checkered using a Maynard-style pattern. The lever and receiver were refinished with beautiful Turnbull case colors. The barrel is rust blued. The original Maynard rear aperture sight and original front sight are installed. This rifle comes with a CH 3-die set for 25-20 Single Shot and 15 rounds of 25-20 and 5 rounds of 25-20 brass. Guide To Maynard Breechloader by George J. This is one of those special rifles where the fit, finish, patina, and feel all come together to produce a very satisfying firearm. With this rifle somehow the whole is greater than the sum of the parts!
