Description:
This all matching Reichsrevolver was manufactured by the royal arsenal, Erfurt in 1895.  It was issued to military officers prior to, and during World War 1 in the German Army.  It has Unit and/or Regimental markings on the rear grip strap and most certainly saw service during "The Great War".  One set of unit markings is crossed out and another set was added showing that this pistol was issued to at least two different units during its service.  Overall, the condition is very good with the majority of the finish remaining but turning to a blue/brown patina.  The bore is excellent and the mechanics work perfectly.  These revolvers are rarely found in very good condition as they were in the trenches for the majority of WW1, and many continued to serve into the next war.  This is a great example of this historically important sidearm.
