CUSTOM RIGGING KNIFE by Robert (Bob) Oleson. The blade is mirror polished stainless steel and has never been sharpened. The knife measures 8 inches overall; the length of the blade is 4 inches long by 1 inch wide. The 5 inch long marlin spike is made of stainless steel. The leather scabbard is custom made for this knife and spike. This knife was given to me as a gift in the mid-1970s and has been in storage since then. Bob Oleson was a master knife maker, living and working in the San Francisco Bay area of California. He was a member of the San Francisco Knife Makers Guild. The quality and craftsmanship that he put into his knives would be hard to surpass.
