Cherry stock with brass mounts and patchbox with acorn patchbox. Distinctive brass “Keyhole” side plate and extended side plate and lock plate moldings on stock typical of West Virginia rifles of the period. “Acorn” finial patchbox also seen on many rifles from the area as well.
