PERCUSSION ARMY REVOLVER CA. 1861. Handsome restoration by the late Tommy Haas, Sr. of an original 11,xxx serial range 1860 Army with the early 4 screw frame. Original and matching barrel, back strap, grip strap and frame with Haas cylinder numbered to the gun. Original hammer. Loading lever and wedge replaced by Haas as well as the grip strap screws. Frame screws appear original. Exceptional charcoal blue on barrel and cylinder. Frame, hammer and lever with much Haas case colors. Perfect markings and address. 100% cylinder scene. Walnut grips are good restorations. Poorly stored with some spots of flaking on the barrel. Cylinder aged to appear old. Excellent bore with slight corrosion but good crisp rifling and in perfect working order. Many of Tommy’s restorations have passed as original over the years because of the exacting quality of his work. Hard to tell from an original. SOLD Antique: Yes |
