Goens #1000 Pure Classic Custom Stocked Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 in 375 H&H, Originally Built for Mr. Sam Arnett, Original long Model 70 action, 20" barrel, 1/4 rib that goes over the receiver ring, 1 standing & 1 folding, Band front ramp, Band barrel sling eye, Lenard Brownell quick detachable lever release 1" scope rings, Four Panel bolt knob checkering, Built up and checkered bolt stop release, Jeweled bolt & follower, Original Model 70 floorplate with a custom profiled trigger guard bow with a center bow release, Goens classic stock on a very nice piece of Walnut, Classic Goens wrap around Fleur-de-lis checkering pattern with a ribbon thru the panel, Engraved grip cap with a Gold border, Ebony forend tip, Shadowline cheekpiece, 2 screw rear sling eye, 14 1/16" LOP over a 3/4" pad, 7 lbs. 9 oz., Overall condition on both metal & wood remains at 96%, The bore remains as new. This gun was built by Goens as his #1000 for Mr. Sam Arnett. Sam was a custom gun nut of the first rank and owned a lot of fine American classic custom rifles.
