Offered here is a 3rd Model Winchester 1873 in the most popular caliber: .44-40. The Cody Firearms Records Office document, included, shows serial #378602B was shipped in1891. This 24” round barrel rifle is in outstanding condition with a bore bright and shiny, close to mint; a 9.5+. Bluing is approximately 80%+ on receiver and barrel, and wood is also excellent with no major dings or dents, and only a couple of minor bruises, although forearm appears to have been re-varnished. An added plus is a cleaning rod on the butt. A current appraisal by a certified appraiser, also included, places the value of this piece at $9,500.00.
