Symes & Wright 20 bore O/U sidelock ejector. 28" barrels, stippled solid rib, 2-34" chambers choked improved cylinder and modified (.009/.016). Based on a Purdey-Woodward patent, the finely sculpted rounded bar action is engraved in the finest rose and scroll with vivid case colors. Single trigger. Highly figured French walnut pistol grip stock with black and gold highlights measures 13-3/4" to a checkered butt. Symes & Wright, the partnership of two very successful Purdey craftsmen, produced only the finest London guns. The Firm consisted of some of the most talented artisans in the British gun trade. A boutique maker, they built only a limited number of guns to the highest standard. This 20 bore over/under illustrates the high level of craftsmanship and style which was the hallmark of Symes & Wright. Weighs 6 lbs, 7 oz. Complete with fitted oak and leather case, a London Best.
