Description:
Extra nice Colt 1911 with 70% original Colt blue. Serial # C97572 (1917 mfg.) nearing 100 years old. Only 22,000 1911's were produced and many were sold to Foreign markets. The original finish is excellent considering the guns age. Some bright areas, brown/gray patina on the grip straps, some light dings and scratches and handling wear. No pitting. The bore is bright with strong rifling. Action is fine and tight; no rattle. Sharp markings w/ the V and M Colt inspector mark. Replaced WWII Flannery barrel. Grips are excellent with minor scuff marks. WWI 2 tone pinned lanyard loop magazine (replacement). The 1911 Colts are the finest pistol ever made, and now they make a great investment and very collectable in all conditions. C&R to ship. Buyer pays all shipping. $37 US priority mail in the US.
