Goens 270 Winchester Classic Custom Stocked Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 The action was made in 1956, 22" barrel without any open sights, 2 piece Redfield/Leupold profiled scope bases, Leupold VX-7 2.5 - 10 x 45mm with a 30mm tube, Blackburn straddle hinged floorplate with a center bow release, A 3-position Model 70 wing safety, Two panel bolt knob checkering, Model 70 trigger, Jeweled bolt and follower, Action rails inside and out are polished, Built-up & checkered bolt stop release, A super Goens Custom Classic style stock, Goens classic full wrap around Fleur-De-Lis checkering with a nice recess, Shadowline cheekpiece, Ebony forend tip, Sling eyes, 1 screw checkered steel Biesen grip cap, 13 13/16" LOP over a 1" pad, 8 lbs. 13 oz., The bore is as new, An excellent piece of wood with excellent color and black/brown contrast, The original Goens blue remains at 100%, The original stock finish at 99%, The checkering is at 100%, This neat rifle is totally like the day it left the capable hands of Goens. I have had a good share of Goens rifles and this is classic Dale Goens all the way.
