Description:
Up for sale today is a Mauser K98k serial no. 404k chambered in caliber 8mm Mauser. This excellent Mauser is marked "ce 42" which signifies manufacture by J. P. Sauer und Sohn Gewehrfabrik in Suhl, Germany. The bore is excellent, and all parts of the rifle match including stock and handguard. The magazine follower is unmarked which could indicate field repair. The bolt doesn't match the rifle, but matches itself. It was produced by Feinmechanische Werke GmbH in Erfurt, Germany. (ERMA.) Wood and metal both show excellent original war-time finish. An outstanding non-import marked vet bring-back and a great shooter as well.
