Description:
This is a Colt Model 1849 Pocket revolver, early production serial number 84691. Small guard. 5 shot. Truly excellent cylinder scene, even with the ORMSBY name still visible. All matching except unnumbered wedge. About 85% original silver on the trigger guard and backstrap, thinning on the backstrap. Frame shows light cleaning. Grips have about 50% varnish. Barrel is a medium to dark grey, with excellent markings, and a dirty bore. It could use some bore cleaning. The great cylinder scene and the extent of the original silver remaining would indicate that it was not used a lot, and didn't get wet.
