Description:
This is a Colt Model 1862 Police revolver with a 6 1/2" barrel. It is a light grey overall, with no original finish remaining. There is light pitting on the barrel and cylinder, and some on the right side of the rammer and frame. The markings are excellent and mechanically it is fine. The grips appear original with about 75% varnish remaining. the fit of the grips to the frame and grip straps is almost seamless. The bolt screw has been badly used,and should probably be replaced with a better looking one. The wedge screw may be replaced. The serial is 5610, and is all matching except an unnumbered replaced wedge. This is a well used but still appealing long barreled 62 Police. It is likely a mid to late 1861 production. Bore is dirty but with strong rifling.
