Here is a hunted VERY early Weatherby.............SN 272! It is scoped with a Balvar 8A Bausch and Lomb. The cross hairs are a long taper. The rifle still has its original buttplate. The prior owner said it had its last hunt in 1965. Give me a shout if you need more pictures.
