Description:
Just received this very nice S&W .38 Military & Police Target Model (Model of 1905-4th Change), this is the Pre K-38. This 1930's vintage, all numbers matching, 5-screw gun is fitted with a 6 inch barrel, checkered diamond walnut grips, adjustable rear sight, is blue finished, and chambered in .38 S&W Special. It retains about 80 to 85% of its original; blue finish, with most lost due to flaking on the frame. The hammer and trigger retain most of their original color case-hardening. The grips, which number to the gun, retain most all of their original finish, with no chips or cracks. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and the action functions perfectly and locks up tight. Notice the optional factory installed round brass bead on the front sight. Also notice the factory serrated front and back straps. All screw heads are un-molested, including the small rear sight screws, a definite plus. I would love to shoot this one.
