This S/42 is chambered dated 1937 and is all numbers matching except for the magazine. The pistol retains about 60% of its original blue finishOne of the most frequently encountered WWII military Lugers, the S/42 Dated Chamber Lugers were manufactured/chambered dated from 1936 to 1940. with sharp serial number stamps and sharp proof stamps. The grips, which also number to the gun, are in fine condtion with no cracks and only a small area of chipping on the left grip panel. The bore has sharp rifling but is lightly frosty. The action functions perfectly and the safety works like new. The magazine is period correct for the gun, same proof stamps, but does not number to the gun. A nice clean example of its type.
