Description:
Serial #167230A, .22 LR, 23” barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some mild freckling within the grooves. The serial number had been removed and was raised by the BATF and re-applied. This is a 1958-manufactured rifle that retains 99% plus of a very well-done reblued finish which has left crisp markings and edges. The walnut forend and buttstock have a thick, added varnish over numerous small handling marks and blemishes. The varnish has crazed in a few spots along the comb, and there is a run at the heel of the butt. The mechanism is still tight, and the action functions flawlessly. This is a nice, usable example of a Winchester 63, and rates fine condition as refurbished. FFL or C&R
