Description:
SN 32146. A faithful copy of the original Sharps; this rifle features a 28 1/2” octagon barrel with an excellent, bright strong bore. Metal surfaces are blued and case colored. The barrel retains about 98% original finish and the top flat is marked “OLD RELIABLE” The lever has turned from blue to a plum/purple patina with some light nicks and dings. The frame, breechblock, lock and hammer are case colored and retain about 95% coverage with fine scratches and areas of finish loss due to use. The stock and forend are checkered and the forend has a semi schabel tip. Buttstock has a 8 pointed brass star inlay on the right side. The wood has a high gloss finish with multiple dings, bumps and brusies that look to be from use or a bit of carelessness, but not abuse. Sights are a bead front sight, a folding rear sight and vernier tang sight with the left side base marked “MADE IN ITALY” A nice looking but used rifle that should perform as well as it looks. FFL
