Description:
This black leather belt is shown on pages 100-01 of Dorsey's American Military and Naval Belts 1812-1902 book. This the 40 inch long variant with two rivet adjustment hook and single sliding loop. This is marked with almost legible stampings near hook and remains in very good condition with soft leather showing marks from use. The 2 1/8 X 3 inch buckle has a reddish hue from high copper content and has developed a nice aged patina. Belt is complete and will look great on display.
