Description:
Serial #16678, 12 ga. (2 3/4"), 26” VR barrels with excellent, bright bores. This is a nicely made shotgun that uses a Purdey style O/U action and retains 90-95% of the original blue with some fading and silvering scattered about on some of the edges and bearing surfaces. The frame has light floral scroll engraving framing the name "PETERSEN" on both sides, and the lock-up is still tight with the lever still resting right of center. The checkered walnut forend and pistol gripped buttstock have scattered minor handling marks as well as a narrow chip missing from the left side of the forend where it meets the frame, and on both sides of the wrist where it meets the frame as well. The stock has a 14 1/4” length of pull to a Decelerator slip-on recoil pad (the original pad has been removed). This is a nicely made Italian shotgun that could still be taken afield and is in very good plus condition overall. FFL
