Description:
Serial #492536, 7.65mm (.32 ACP), 3 1/4” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a late war pistol built without the thumb safety, and is only marked with the caliber designation and Waffenamt proof on the left side of the pistol. The metal retains 80-85% of the original blue finish with even fading to the underlying gray metal on both the slide and frame. The non-original smooth walnut grips are in fine shape and have only a few minuscule handling marks on the otherwise excellent oil finish. The mechanism is functional, however the action will not cock via the lever (the pistol will only cock via pulling the slide back; a common occurrence on surviving late war production examples), however the lever will still decock the pistol. This is a very good plus example of a wartime 38H and would make a nice representative example for a collection. FFL or C&R
