U.S. Springfield Armory M-1 Garand Rifle, serial # 173151, cal. 30-06, with a 24" barrel and a good bore, TE 2.5, barrel marked "S-A-5-46", receiver # D 28291-3 SA, bolt # D 29287-2 SA, trigger housing # D 28290-14-SA, hammer # C 46008-7 SA, safety C 46015-6SA, Op Rod # D 6535382 IHC, the metal is parkerized with 85% remaining and wear at front of barrel and on rear sight cover, the wood is stamped RA-P on the flat of the pistol grip and a P proof in the pistol grip area, there is one visible scratch on the left side of the stock just forward of the mag well (can be sanded), overall a nice early receiver Garand rifle in very good condition.
