U.S. Rock Island Arsenal 1903 Bolt Action Rifle, serial # 228262, cal. 30-06, with a 24" 4 groove barrel with a very good bore, barrel stamped R.I.A./Ordnance Bomb/3-13 and the bottom of the barrel is also stamped R 22/P, rifle retains 85%+ original military finish, finish is light on the trigger guard and floor plate, stock is original but void of any cartouche's with only the letter Y stamped in the wood behind the floor plate that I believe was done during the rebuild R 22/P (R=Rebuilt 22=Date 1922 & P=Proofed), comes with front sight hood, this rifle will definitely look great in a "03" or Military Collection, overall this is a very nice RIA '03' Rifle in very good plus plus condition.
