Description:
Exceptionally Rare Colt Bi Centennial "Freedom Set" "B". This is the commemorative 3 gun set, 1 Peacemaker, 1 Python and 1 Dragoon. In 1976 Colt manufactured 1780 Bi Centennial sets, there were also 11 "Freedom Sets made". 4 "A" sets, 6 "B" sets, of which this is one, and 1 "C" set. The "A" sets were engraved, the "B" sets were gold embellished and had accessories and the 1 "C" set had shoulder stock. All of these sets are extremely rare, not to be confused with the standard set. The "A" sets were all engraved by Dwain Wright of OR. This set is even more rare in that it is a "B" set, with "A" engraving, perhaps the only one! Needless to say, set is unfired and s in its beautiful display case which also houses Armsmear which is an out of print book about Samuel Colt. Complete with factory boxes noting "B" set with "A" engraving by Dwain Wright. I've seen the standard set around, I've never seen another of these. Be the only one of your Colt buddies to have this outstanding, rare set. Trades or layaway considered.
