This is a custom made rifle by one of the master gunsmiths in the former New Haven, CT custom shop in 1998. He built this rifle for himself for a moose hunt. It is in a rare, 35 Whelen configuration and designated an Ultimate Classic. The receiver was manufactured in the early to mid 1990's per the serial number. The action is housed in a custom McMillan stock and is bedded in an aluminum pillar. The barell bears the custom shop stamp. The bolt and follower are appropriately "jeweled." The LOP is 13 1/2". This rifle has had very few rounds through it and yes he did get his moose. The overall condition of this rifle is 95% with very few handling marks. It comes with a generic Winchester box. The buyer has a three day, non-firing inspection period.
