Description:
A nice example of a Belgian Naval Flintlock pistol. The top of th barrel is marked "Belgium" and there are two proof marks, a "W" under a Crown on the lock, and a"B" under a Crown on the barrel. The top of the barrel is stamped "BELGIUM". The barrel is 9" long, .70 caliber and the overall length is 15 & 1/2". The barrel retains  a good amount of its original brown finish. The lock and hammer appear to have been left as bright metal. The trigger guard, barrel end and butt cap are brass. All metal is in very good condition. The lanyard ring looks original.  The full walnut stock is also in good condition with a number of mostly minor dings and mostly on the left side ( this pistol saw  some action). There are no splits or cracks or wood missing in the stock. The action is very strong and the hammer holds on full and half cock. Made circa 1813.

Flintlocks have been rapidly increasing in value.
This is an antique so no FFL is required. It can be sent directly to a new proud owner.
