NEW SERVICE .44-40 CALIBER, 5 1/2" DOUBLE ACTION REVOLVER, MADE 1912, this one was obviously carried quite a bit and used, but certainly cared for, tight action, fine markings- the early style rampant colt on the side plate is a little worn, but all there, sights have not been altered, still retains a small amount of fire blue on the hammer back and trigger sides, overall blue is good in the usual protected areas with dulling from age and mixing brown on the balance, grips show normal wear consistent with the rest of the piece without chips or cracks, fairly bright bore with a few scattered light pits that might brush out, a big 104 year old double action Colt o doubt with lots of stories and adventure in it!
