Description:
Famars shotguns are one of the world’s finest made and were available on a custom order basis only. Dual white bead sights on the solid matte rib with light border line engraving around the top chamber. The upper left side of the barrels is marked "ABBIATICO & SAVINELLI-MADE IN ITALY" in block lettering. The barrels have 3 inch chambers, and a choke tube system (improved cylinder/cylinder installed). The coin finished receiver features beautifully executed fine line bulino style engraving of assorted game birds with snipe in a field on the right, a pheasant on the bottom, and partridge on the left. Each bird or pair of birds features an incredible amount of detail with subtle detailed backgrounds. The scenes are bordered with tight finely detailed floral scroll. The left side of the trigger plate is signed "SEVERIN" in fancy script. Fitted with an adjustable single selective trigger and tang mounted thumb safety. Mounted on a beautifully figured multi-point checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with a solid rubber Decelerator recoil pad. The included Famars takedown case has a green velvet interior, and includes extra springs and firing pins, four extra choke tubes, and cloth sleeves. The barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .741/.742 inches; wall thickness at 9 inches from breech .0295/.029 inches; drop at comb 1 1/4 inches; drop at heel 1 3/4 inches; length of pull 14 5/8 inches.
