Description:
This Winchester pre-64 Model 70 with a 24" barrel has a bright excellent bore. the barrel retains 98% original blue finish having the slightest amount of loss around the muzzle along wth having a few light scattered scratches. the receiver retains 95% thinning matte black finish; the correct factory proofs are present. The body remains bright displaying some operational wear; the handle retains 70% original blue finish; the bolt is correctly numbered to the gun. The floorplate and trigger guard retain 50% original blue finish. the checkered walnut Monte Carlo pistol grip stock rates near excellent displaying just a few scattered handling marks over an added varnish. the buttstock is fitted with an added Pachmyr hard rubber recoil pad. the barrel has been glass bedded to the stock. The rifle is sighted with a sporting ramp silver bead front sight with missing hood and a while diamond folding leaf rear. Included is a pair of Leupold style rings and bases.
