This fantastic 1907 Colt first-generation Single action Army (SAA) revolver came in from one of our local customers on consignment.
It comes 98% original with just the screws replaced and maybe the firing pin. Internal parts unknown. Serial numbers on frame, trigger guard, and grip all matching. Grips are said to be original to the gun (and look it), and the COA letter from Colt indicates that the bluing, caliber, and barrel length are all correct as delivered by Colt.
Action is tight, timing is correct but trigger is heavy (may need a little tuning), and 4 ¾” barrel bore looks good for its age. Colt factory lettering and logo are all sharp, front sight has not been cut or shaved, no visible active corrosion, and some bluing remains throughout.
We believe this to be a reasonably-price, budget collectors-grade revolver that should only gain value in years to come.
